• Corneal Topography Pearls Description: The basic principles of refractive corneal imaging. Corneal topography has become an everyday tool in the assessment, and follow-up of refractive surgery patients, screening and assessing keratoconus, as well as -for a growing number of clinicians-an essential tool in any contemporary ophthalmic evaluation. Traditional keratometry, Placido-based topography, Tomography (scanning-slit and Scheimpflug) as well as reference to high frequency ultrasound and anterior segment OCT, corneal mapping. Several case examples are used to underline most of the clinical pearls and objective differences between the different modalities. This material was a pre-requisite in out topography-university courses offered to clinicians pursuing advanced corneal refractive interventions.
