• The IOL Scaffold Technique Description: This video describes a new technique for managing PCR with retained nuclear fragments. The IOL is pre-placed and used as a scaffold to prevent nuclear fragments from dropping into the vitreous during phacoemulsification. This compartmentalizes the eye and thus vitreous hydration and prolapse as well as accidental vitreous aspiration into the phaco probe. It also prevents further damage to the anterior and posterior capsular rims. Subspecialty: Cataract / Anterior Segment Level: Intermediate Uploaded By: ISRS Multimedia Library
