• Management of severe EKC-related scarring with PTK, PRK and CXL Description: We describe the remarkable recovery of a lady suffering from significant EKC-related scarring in both her corneas. Besides using topical corticosteroids and of course topical cyclosporine we after several Months intervened with phototherapeutic keratectomy (PTK) using the EX500 Alcon excimer laser. The pearl here is that although her refractive error was hyperopic we used a in-house designed combination of the myopic-astigmatic ablation added with the adjusted hyperopic ablation also combined with a partial CXL treatment (to reduce subsequent scarring). The cornea imaging principles along as the remarkable 20/20 uncorrected (!!!) visual acuity achieved are discussed: watch!!! Subspecialty: Cornea / External Disease Level: Advanced Uploaded By: A.
