• Open Posterior Capsule with Trifocal Description: This is routine phacoemulsification for N2 cataract with trifocal IOL implantation. Surgery complicated by a tear in the posterior capsule while clearing the epinuclear shell. Limbal approach anterior vitrectomy was performed successfully to remove epinuclear fragments. This was followed by pars plana anterior vitrectomy with TMA staining to clear vitreous prolapsed into the anterior chamber. Good remnants of the posterior capsule could enable implantation of the trifocal IOL in the capsular bag.
