• Phacoemulsification + IOL + PKP (with narration) Description: Patient with herpetic corneal perforation that had corneal gluing. By the time heis referred to my clinic the glue has fallen off and he has rapidly developed a white cataract with flat AC, anterior and posterior synechiae and there is iris tissue plugging the perforation. The initial plan was an urgent PKP with or without open sky cataract extraction, based on the risk of expulsive haemorrhage. Patient's surgery has to be deferred a few weeks for other non-medical reasons. By the time the patient comes for surgery the AC, although very shallow, has slightly formed. Surgical plan is changed to phaco + IOL + PKP. This video shows management of a white cataract with synechiae, management of Argentinian flag syndrome, management of PCR with sulcus IOL and performance of PKP.
